Everything you get with your subscription, area by area
The complete detail of what YOUCART does, area by area: catalogue, categories, cart, orders with VAT calculation, calculated shipping, quotes and promotions. B2B price lists, customer records, inventory, returns, support and email notifications included — and, for what is not shipped, bookings, subscriptions, digital content and serial numbers.
Product catalogue
The complete record of your items: name, code, price, category and publication status, with search by name and code ready to use.
What you can do today
- Browse the catalogue with pagination
- Search by name or item code
- Filter by active/inactive status
- Load the catalogue you already have from a CSV file — from Danea Easyfatt, from Excel, from another store's export — with a preview before anything is written and rejected rows listed one by one
- Send the same file back to update prices only, instead of duplicating products: it is the shape a new supplier price list arrives in
- Export everything to CSV: weights, volumes, maximum discount and sale type come back with the rest
- Variants under a single item — size, colour, format — each with its own code and stock
- Compliance attributes (allergens, energy class, CE marking) that you can declare mandatory: until they are filled in, the product cannot be put on sale
Good to know: the import reads the header of the file,
not the position of the columns, and recognises both «IVA %» and
iva_perc. Columns it doesn't know are listed back to you
instead of being silently ignored. Five hundred rows are loaded at a
time: a bigger catalogue is split into several files, so a column
mistake doesn't spread to everything before you see it.
Categories
Organise the catalogue with an unlimited tree of categories and subcategories, to give your store structure.
What you can do today
- Create categories and subcategories without limits
- Browse products by category
Cart
A cart that works for anonymous visitors and registered customers alike, with quantities updating in real time.
What you can do today
- Persistent cart for guests (up to 30 days)
- Add, change and remove items
- Cart linked to the account after login
Orders
The cart becomes a complete order: lines with price and VAT frozen at purchase time, net amount and tax broken down per rate, total with shipping already included.
What you can do today
- Create an order from the cart, with the total calculated by the server
- Browse the order history per customer
- See the detail of a single order, lines included
- Automatic, progressive numbering by year
- Handle a special VAT rate per product (exemptions, non-taxable operations)
A note on transparency: price and shipping cost are always re-read by the server when the order is placed, never accepted as the customer's browser shows them. It is a security choice, not a technical detail.
Shipping
Define where you deliver and at what price: the right cost is calculated automatically from the address and the weight of the order.
What you can do today
- Create delivery zones by country, postcode or province
- Several rates per zone: courier, store pickup, own delivery
- Base price plus cost per kg, with weight brackets
- Configurable free-shipping threshold per rate
- The customer sees the cost before confirming, with the options available for their address
Promotions & discounts
Discounts apply by themselves: the customer sees them already in the cart, and the total you show is the one they will pay. No code to type, no manual recalculation.
What you can do today
- Percentage discount on the whole catalogue, on certain products or on a category
- Discount that kicks in from a quantity upwards
- Free shipping above a spending threshold
- Campaigns with a start and end date: they start and finish on their own
- Priority between promotions and extra discounts that add up
- Maximum discount per product, which no promotion can exceed
- Switch a promotion off with one click, without deleting it
Account & authentication
Secure sign-up and login for your customers, with a session that expires automatically and distinct roles for customers and administrators.
What you can do today
- Self-service sign-up and login
- Secure sessions that expire on their own after 30 minutes
- Distinction between the customer and administrator roles
- Retrieve the authenticated user's profile
B2B customer records
Who logs in and who buys are two different things: the customer record holds the data of the company that purchases — VAT number, tax code, SDI recipient code, PEC, payment terms and granted credit limit — and the users who enter the store are linked to it.
What you can do today
- Customer record with complete fiscal data for invoicing
- Payment terms and maximum credit limit per customer
- Search by company name or VAT number
- Multiple users linked to the same customer record
B2B price lists
This is the feature that makes a catalogue truly B2B: the same product can cost differently depending on the customer looking at it, with quantity tiers. The reserved price appears only after login; an anonymous visitor sees the catalogue price.
What you can do today
- Multiple price lists, each assignable to one or more customers
- Dedicated price per product, with minimum-quantity tiers
- Immediate comparison with the catalogue price
- The price list is applied automatically to the order
Stock and inventory
Stock moves by itself following the order: at purchase time the goods are reserved — still on the shelf, but no longer sellable to others — and deducted only when the order is fulfilled. If the order is cancelled, they become available again.
What you can do today
- Stock per warehouse, with multiple locations if you need them
- Receipts, issues and adjustments after the physical count
- A log of every movement, with reason and resulting balance
- An alert when stock falls below the threshold you set
- Returned goods kept separate until you have checked them
- Products always sellable even at zero, if you work to order
Note: two customers buying the last piece at the same instant do not both buy it. Stock is locked during checkout, not read and written back at leisure.
Returns (RMA)
A return follows a precise path: the customer requests it, you accept or refuse, they ship, you receive and inspect, and only then is the outcome decided. Every step is recorded, and none can be skipped.
What you can do today
- The customer opens the return from their order, line by line, with the reason
- They cannot return more than they bought, not even by opening several returns
- Acceptance with a deadline to ship by, or a reasoned refusal
- An outcome per line: refund, replacement, repair or rejected
- Internal notes the customer cannot see
Returned goods do not go back on sale by themselves. When they arrive they stay under review, out of availability: only the inspection outcome decides whether they return to the shelf. A piece returned as faulty is not resold by mistake.
A refund is recorded, not issued: YOUCART notes the type, amount and date, but the credit note is still made with your accounting software until electronic invoicing arrives.
Customer support
The customer opens a request, you reply, and the whole conversation stays in there: who wrote what and when. The request can be attached to an order, so you immediately know what it is about.
What you can do today
- A work queue with what is left to handle, in priority order
- Automatic assignment to whoever starts working on the request
- Internal notes the customer cannot see
- If the customer says it is not solved, the case reopens by itself
Good to know: email sending is built and notifications go out, but delivery depends on how your store's mail is configured. You can connect your mailbox from the panel and send yourself a test with one click: until you do, keep an eye on requests from there.
Bookings and appointments
For what is not shipped but occupied: a course, a room, a visit, a piece of equipment for rent. The store declares when it is available and with how many places, or lets the customer choose from when to when.
What you can do today
- Slots with their capacity — «Thursday at 6 pm, eight places» — or a free period chosen by the customer
- Closures: «not on 15 August», for a single product or the whole store, without deleting the slots
- The customer sees in the storefront only the slots that still have places
- A daily agenda on the first screen of the panel, with the address if the service is at the customer's home
- Statuses that advance by themselves with the clock: yesterday's booking reads «past», and a filter shows you only those to close
- An email to the customer the day before the appointment
The same slot is never sold twice. The place is taken when someone buys it, inside the order transaction, and what prevents overbooking is a database constraint: not a two-step check that two simultaneous clicks could slip past. If it has filled up in the meantime, the order is not created at all.
Subscriptions and rentals
A fee that renews every month, an annual policy, a piece of equipment rented from the 3rd to the 7th. The contract lives on its own after the order that opened it, and does not require anyone to remember it.
What you can do today
- Monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual cadence, decided by the product — not by the buyer
- Contracts opened by the checkout, or by hand from the panel for the one renewed over the phone
- Renewal that advances the expiry date by itself, every night
- Cancellation, suspension and reactivation, without deleting the history
- A subscription past its end date does not renew: it becomes expired
- An email to the customer the day before the last useful date to cancel
- A list of contracts in CSV, to pass to your accountant
- The customer sees their subscriptions from their account
Renewal moves the expiry date, it does not take money. There is no automatic charge to the customer's card: the contract stays active and you collect with the means you already use. The day recurring charging is needed, it is a job of its own.
Digital content
A course, an ebook, a file: on order confirmation the customer receives a personal link, and you decide how much it is worth and for how long.
What you can do today
- Link generated on its own at order time, one per customer
- A cap on downloads, or unlimited
- Expiry on a date, or perpetual
- Immediate revocation, without deleting the sale history
- The link and the downloads left are visible from the order detail, both in the storefront and in the panel
- Cancelling the order revokes the accesses it had generated
The file is not in a public folder. It lives outside the web space, and is reachable only through the link: if it were under the site, anyone guessing the name would download it and the check would be decoration. The download cap is enforced with a conditional write, so two windows open at once cannot steal one extra.
Serial numbers and batches
When it is not enough to know how many pieces you have, but you need to know which piece went to whom: electronics, medical devices, parts under warranty.
What you can do today
- Load serials in bulk, one per line; duplicates are refused with a message, not an error
- Tie the serial to the order line that sold it
- Record batch, expiry date and UDI code together with the item
- An alert at the top of the section for serials about to expire
- Recall a batch and get the list of customers to notify — only yours
- Cancelling the order makes sold serials available again, except the recalled ones
Features that activate with you
This is the part of the product that activates together with you. We distinguish two reasons: «needs your contract» means the code is there and waits for your credentials, «to be built» means we write it on request, with priority for whoever requests the plan that includes it and the fee starting when the work is done. Which plan each item falls under is on the Pricing page.
Electronic invoicing
Generating the invoice from a fulfilled order, with transmission to the Sistema di Interscambio. Sending to the SDI necessarily goes through an accredited intermediary your company must have a contract with: that is the missing piece, not our development. Today the invoicing status is marked by hand.
Connection to your management software
The catalogue and stock coming from Danea Easyfatt, Fatture in Cloud or similar, and the store's orders going back, without anyone copying anything. The first step is already done: the catalogue is loaded in bulk from a CSV file and updated by sending the same file back. What is missing is the connection that does it on its own, with your management software's credentials.
Selling on social
Taking the catalogue into Facebook and Instagram — and from there to Marketplace and ads — keeping it aligned by itself when you change a price or run out of stock. A good part of the work is done: the product feed that powers Google Shopping exists and works; what is missing is connecting it to your business account and supporting the formats Meta requires. TikTok and Pinterest follow with the same mechanism.
Infrastructure included in every plan
You are not only buying features: you are also buying the infrastructure that runs them, without having to manage it yourself.
Managed hosting
Your store runs on dedicated infrastructure, with domain and SSL certificate configured. No server to administer.
Separated data
Every store has its own data space: your catalogue, customer and order information does not mix with anyone else's.
Secure authentication
Signed sessions that expire on their own, security headers active on every server response.
Configurable currency
Choose from the panel which currency the store sells in — euro, dollar, pound, Swiss franc and others. It applies to prices, shipping rates and new orders; an order already issued keeps the currency it was born with.
Updates included
Every improvement and fix reaches your store automatically, with no extra cost and nothing for you to do.

Built to be found
Store pages arrive already written by the server, not built afterwards by the browser: someone searching on Google — and someone searching with an AI assistant — sees the content instead of an empty page.
What it includes
- One page per product and per category, each with its own address
- Structured data
schema.org: price, availability, brand sitemap.xmlandrobots.txtgenerated for your store- Title, description and share preview for every product page
Product feed for Google Shopping
The catalogue comes out in the format Google Merchant Center expects, updated by itself. The Merchant Center account remains yours.
What you can do
- Connect the feed to Merchant Center and appear in product listings
- See which products are left out and why, instead of discovering it from rejections
Product safety, as the law requires
Since December 2024 the European GPSR regulation requires showing, on the product page, who produced the item and what warnings it carries. YOUCART has the fields and publishes them.
What you record
- Manufacturer with address and contact
- EU responsible person, if the manufacturer is outside the EU
- Safety warnings, shown prominently
- Brand, EAN code and batch, also useful for a recall
Compliance remains with the seller: we provide the fields and show them where they must be seen.
Statistics that see every visitor
We count visits on the server, without cookies and without recording the IP address: they also count for those who refuse consent, who are often about half of the people.
What you see
- Visits, most-viewed pages and most-viewed products
- Where visitors come from, and whether from phone or computer
- You can connect your Google Analytics: it activates only after consent
